Easy gumpaste rose tutorial

This is by far the easiest way to make a gumpaste / fondant rose. I believe it is called Chef Duff's rose.

Mix your gumpaste with fondant. 50/50 would give a good result. You may also use fondant mixed with tylose. Tint it with your favorite color. 

Roll out your gumpaste and use round cutters to cut out your petals. Cut out 5 petals (but you can also use 3).

Line them up as shown above.
  

From the bottom part, roll the petals up.


Et voila!

Cut in half.


Spread the petals out. You may pinch to thin out the edges of the petals.

And there you have it! 

Forgive my color stained fingers, they're the least photogenic. Haha!
